The new release will mainly catch the attention of fans of Escape from Tarkov.
Finnish indie developer Antti Leinonen released his long-awaited project, Road to Vostok, yesterday afternoon. It’s a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter that draws clear inspiration from games like Escape from Tarkov, both in its setting and gameplay mechanics.
Players are thrown into a harsh world inspired by the Finnish-Russian border region. The game offers a classic single-player experience focused on atmosphere and exploration, with parts of the world being procedurally generated.
There’s also a strong emphasis on survival mechanics, realistic ballistics, and authentic weapon behavior. Road to Vostok is now available in early access on Steam for around €15. So far, player feedback has been mostly positive, with an average rating of about 81%.
What do you think? Will it be better than EFT?
